Sorry for such a delay in posts. There really hasn't been anything going on in my cheer world exciting. And thats because two weeks after high school tryouts, I finally went back to the doctor about a knee pain thats been nagging at me for a while. We first thought it was just fluid, then my pediatrician thought I had "patella femoral syndrome" but my pain kept increasing with every move I made. They then sent me to a orthopedic doctor who then sent me to have an MRI done. The next morning we get a phone call from the doctor saying I had a bruised meniscus. GREATTTT. So what do I need to do to take care of it? Ehh, just stay off of it for 6-8 weeks and wear your brace. Okay..wait STAY OFF of it for HOW LONG?!?! 6-8 weeks?!?! Ain't NOBODY, especially a cheerleader got time for DAT! I had 2 months of practice to prepare for came and TWO more High Fly competitions in Nashville and at the beach! So, in the end, it came down to me having to cease my all star cheer career ): My team went on to Nashville and PCB without me. I'm just being a big girl and resting it up and going to physical therapy for now. ): I am however still cheering for my high school squad. I'm just not jumping or doing anything rather than learning the dance, xtreme, and cheer for camp the last week of May :)
UPDATE:
We have learned our entire HomePom, now we are just cleaning it up and making it perfect for camp. We are about to start learning our xtreme routine and cheer. :) Some of our camp clothes, uniform pieces etc have begun to ship in from Varsity and as soon as it all comes in I will gladly post pictures!
We have our annual spring football game coming up 3 weeks that we will be cheering at. Can't wait to get back on the sidelines. Ohhh, how I've missed it!
