Senior Pictures Round 1

This first picture was taken at my school in front of our stadium!
I have a beautiful school, it's only been open going on 4 years.
I'll be the first class to go all the way thru 9-12th :)
But we had senior portraits made for the yearbook this year and mom brought along her camera!

These were taken at The Sonnet House!
A beautiful house where some friends of ours got married and we took advantage of the beauty it held!

Cheer Camp 2013

My last cheer camp has come and gone! It was bittersweet but I couldn't have asked for better people or a greater time! I am truly so blessed to be apart of this squad. Not going to go into much detail, just post some pics, I am so sleepy! Enjoy! :)

Love,
Hailey :)

Spring Game and Split the Pot

Friday night we had our annual Spring Game! This year it was a little different. It was held at Corner High school for the first time since I have been in high school, and instead of a regular football game, we had 3 other teams come! One all the way from East Tennessee. It was our head coaches college room mates football team! But, it decided to POUR that night. So the first two teams playing took FOREVER to complete their game cause they had to keep going inside because of the lightening. Us cheerleaders were shuffled from a concession stand on top of the softball/baseball complex, back to the field house where we stayed for about 2 hours. It was crazy! But by the time it was our turn to play, the rain had ceased and we were in the clear. It did decide to sprinkle a bit while we were cheering but that was okay :)

We started off with prayer! :)

Sweet McKenzie

Us with our "hot" rain jackets ;)

The next night, us seniors headed to a racetrack near by and we did a 50/50 split the pot, where we sell raffle tickets and at the end of the night we draw and the winner gets half of what we make!
We ended with a total of $782 and went home with $391 :)
This money is going towards our senior sweaters which are like lettermen jackets but sweaters :)

And we call it quits...

Sorry for such a delay in posts. There really hasn't been anything going on in my cheer world exciting. And thats because two weeks after high school tryouts, I finally went back to the doctor about a knee pain thats been nagging at me for a while. We first thought it was just fluid, then my pediatrician thought I had "patella femoral syndrome" but my pain kept increasing with every move I made. They then sent me to a orthopedic doctor who then sent me to have an MRI done. The next morning we get a phone call from the doctor saying I had a bruised meniscus. GREATTTT. So what do I need to do to take care of it? Ehh, just stay off of it for 6-8 weeks and wear your brace. Okay..wait STAY OFF of it for HOW LONG?!?! 6-8 weeks?!?! Ain't NOBODY, especially a cheerleader got time for DAT! I had 2 months of practice to prepare for came and TWO more High Fly competitions in Nashville and at the beach! So, in the end, it came down to me having to cease my all star cheer career ): My  team went on to Nashville and PCB without me. I'm just being a big girl and resting it up and going to physical therapy for now. ): I am however still cheering for my high school squad. I'm just not jumping or doing anything rather than learning the dance, xtreme, and cheer for camp the last week of May :)

UPDATE:
We have learned our entire HomePom, now we are just cleaning it up and making it perfect for camp. We are about to start learning our xtreme routine and cheer. :) Some of our camp clothes, uniform pieces etc have begun to ship in from Varsity and as soon as it all comes in I will gladly post pictures!

We have our annual spring football game coming up 3 weeks that we will be cheering at. Can't wait to get back on the sidelines. Ohhh, how I've missed it!

Xtreme Spirit Championship

Today we competed our last local/home competition. The next one we will be hitting the road to PCB and possibly Nashville. Today was lots of fun tho! We competed against our biggest rival, and came in 1st place for the second week in a row now. We had a drop and the other team hit flawlessly, however, our routine is maxed out for our level so that gives us a great advantage!

Photobombed by High Fly owner, Shane! :)

It was another wonderful weekend for the High Fly All Stars!

The Week Of Lasts..

This past week has brought lots of "last times"

Example one, my last time to try out for cheerleading at my high school.

This first picture was taken when I was in the 8th grade at made Junior Varsity cheerleading for my high school

This picture was taken last week as the 6 of us tried out for Varsity our Senior year

Example 2, watching a very close family friend in her last elementary school pageant.

This one is like my baby sister. I have known her since she was 2 and I was 7. Now she's a beautiful 12 year old about to start junior high. I have watched her every year since she was in Kindergarten. She is absolutely remarkable. She has won every pageant she has ever been in.
Not only is she beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well.
I am so blessed to get to watch her develop into this amazing young woman.
Congratulations Mattie!

Example 3, I compete in my last home competition this afternoon.

High Fly has truly been a blessing to me. I have learnt so much not only cheerleading wise but life skills has well and I will forever and always be thankful for this year.

I have also learned that God NEVER closes one door without opening another.

This was our very first time to hit the mat as a team. We've lost some and gained some.
But as the year is quickly approaching an end, I have met some of the most amazing people ever.

Now I have to get ready to compete! Another post to come tonight or tomorrow! :)

Themed Practice and ECC Red Fox Championship

This Saturday we had a themed practice. We had to get with our elite stunt group and pick out something for all of us to do! And here they all are...
The Princess group
 Superhero Group
 Thug Life group
 The nerd group
 Duck Dynasty group
And we were the monsters!
 Abbie and her beautiful needle!

We chose monsters as our theme because the competition we went to the next day asked our team Relentless to also compete as a level 4.2 team
Level 4 stunts, level 2 tumbling
They want to bring a Worlds Bid event to Birmingham next year and needed a certain amount of entries so we were one of the teams asked to do it.
Our new name was Monster! :)
-------------------------------------------------------------
So after our crazy morning practice we rested up and got back up the next morning ready to compete, but not once like normally but TWO times.
We first competed our level 4.2 team Monster, then we had about a 2 hour break before we came back for our level 3 team Relentless

During our down time, me and my Mama went to Cottontails (a craft show) next door. One of her friends had given her free tickets.
We managed to scan the whole show and eat in perfect timing. We may, just may, have picked up a couple of things while we were there.
I more like to go to placed like this to get ideas of stuff that I could make for nearly half the price or more.
And trust me, I did just that.
But I did find these.
They looked like just come cute keychains that I could make when I first went and looked at them but after looking at them closer I realized that these were Vera Bradley patterns!
And if you know me, you know I am completely obsessed with VB.
So I had to get them. The lady actually just orders the VB fabric and makes her own stuff, most keychains and lanyards tho.
The small was $4 and large was $8
I also got this adorable Southern Belle shirt. I loved the owl!

We had a little bit of time after we got back before warm ups so we kind of chilled in the back away from the noise.

I seriously have some of the greatest team mates anyone could ask for!
And lemme just tell you, having guys on your squad is awesome because they become like big brothers to you and will kick butt if someone messes with you!

This would be my wonderful best friend :)

So our Monster routine went amazing, and then two hours later we competed with Relentless and that went amazing as well. We did have a drop with both routines but do not think we didn't rock the rest of the routine cause we did!

We just went out there and had tons of fun. Our energy was up & judges hate more than anything for a team to come out and have no energy.
It's little things like that, that can and will make the difference between first and second place.

In the end, we ended up taking FIRST place home for BOTH performances. All of our jaws hit the floor when we weren't called out as 2nd place.
Because if you know of our other competitions we always manage to come in 2nd, no matter if we hit or not. But we brought it today! So proud of us!

I made a new friend this week. Her name is Tiffany! She filled in for one of our girls who hurt her wrist and is trying to get well before our Nashville competition! :)
I hope she just stays and finishes our the season with us, shes so sweet!

^ See my knee brace?! I have Patella Femoral Syndrome.
Yes, I know. I am always hurt.

This beauty ended up coming home with me this weekend!

I also wanted to give our whole program a big CONGRATULATIONS!
Every High Fly team brought home either 1st or 2nd place today!

18 first place wins
4 second places
and
3 grand champs!
--------------------------------------------------------
Up next! Xtreme Spirit Championship next weekend! :)
